COVID-19-Prevention: Facetouching
Early in the COVID-19 pandemic, touching one’s face was identified as a route of infection. In the summer of 2020, in a remote observational study, published in Psychology & Health, we were able to use participants’ webcams to show that simple if-then plans can lead to a reduction in facetouching.

Handwashing Behavior in Uganda
In cooperation with Viva con Agua, I tried to extend a behavior change tool (Football 4 Wash) with findings from my research. The goal was to promote handwashing behavior among primary school children in Uganda. In the 10 days following the intervention, handwashing behavior increased, especially in critical situations (e.g., before eating).
